Tips and Ideas
To assist you in creating the perfect registry, we provide a wealth of tips and ideas online—from Suggested Registries to online video registries. A handy checklist indicates the items you've added to your registry in each category, so you can tell at a glance if you've forgotten anything and you can even create personal notes to yourself about each product.

Manage and Update Your Registry
Once you've created your registry, you can add and delete products and change quantities online, 24 hours a day. Your registry list will also be available in our store.

Our Thank-You Note Manager allows you to see what has been purchased from your registry list and by whom.

Create or Manage a Registry

How can I register for gifts with Great Beginnings?
You may register on our Internet site or in our store.

To register online, please click Create Your Registry to begin. If registering in our store, we recommend calling ahead to schedule an appointment if you desire a personal registry tour. Tours usually take between 45 minutes and 2 hours depending on the depth of your registry.

How do I know what items to include in my registry?
To help you get started, we've developed Suggested Registries in several different categories. Each provides detailed information and inspiration for equipping your baby's nursery. We encourage you to review them at your leisure. They're also available for your review at our store. Our personal registry tour in the store is based on the Great Beginnings Suggested Registry.

What product information is provided on the site?
You'll find comprehensive information about each item in our online registry assortment, including materials, dimensions and recommended care. For your convenience, we continually developing a comprehensive series of video registries.

When should I register?
We advise registering three to four months before your shower or event. This allows your family and friends enough time to purchase gifts for parties, showers and special events.

How do I make changes to my registry after I've created it?
You may access your registry via the Internet, by phone, by email and in our Great Beginnings store.

Whether you create your registry on the Internet or in our store, you'll have 24-hour access to your registry online. This allows you to track its progress, add or delete products, make notes, and change quantities.

How long do registries stay active?
Your registry will remain active online and in our store for one year after the date of your event.

Registry Purchases

Where can gifts from my registry be purchased?
Gifts from your registry can be purchased on the Internet, in our store, and by calling (800) 886-7099.

How often are registry purchases updated online?
Your registry is updated instantly after an order is placed online and within 24 hours after a gift is purchased off a registry in our store. We will do our best to keep your registry up to date. Please help by updating any gifts that are given to you that were not purchased at Great Beginnings.

How do I know when an item has been purchased from my registry?
When someone purchases a registry item online or by phone, the gift will be automatically reflected on your registry as purchased once the transaction is complete.

When someone purchases a registry item in our store, the store associate will update your registry to reflect the purchase.

You can view all purchases by clicking Manage Your Registry. You can also view your Thank-You Note Manager to see the names of the gift-givers and the note on the gift card.

Return Policy

What is the return policy for Great Beginnings?
If you are not completely satisfied with an item that has been purchased at Great Beginnings, we will gladly exchange it for another item or issue you a merchandise credit that can be used for future purchases from Great Beginnings. Refund checks are unavailable for registry purchases. Please remember to save your gift receipts, as this will ensure that you receive full credit for the value of your merchandise. You may return Great Beginnings merchandise by mail or at our store.

Completion Program

Does Great Beginnings have a completion program?
Within one month after your event, you'll receive an invitation to participate in our Registry Completion Program, which allows you to receive a 10% discount on a one-time purchase to complete your registry. Items outside your registry that are available on our website may also be included.

How do I complete my registry?
Within one month after your event, you will receive a coupon code that enables you to purchase any remaining gifts on your registry and any other items for your baby you may need that are available on our website for a 10% discount on a one-time purchase. This one-time discount is also available in our store or by calling 301-417-9702 and (800) 886-7099, 10:30am EST - 6:00 pm EST, Monday thru Friday or by emailing us at registry@greatbeginnings.net for details.
