Stokke Tripp Trapp Editorial Review
This is just smart. Despite it's overwhelmingly complicated name, the STOKKE Tripp Trapp, is a valuable transitional seating solution for kids who are too big (or think themselves too big) for a highchair but not yet ready for full-size kitchen chairs. Triangularly shaped, the Stokke Tripp Trapp highchair features an adjustable seat and an adjustable foot rest so it can be tailored specifically to the needs of growing kids. The Tripp Trapp's foot rest also functions as a sort of ladder rung so younger kids can climb up into the seat. What's remarkable about the Stokke Tripp Trapp, again besides the name, is how incredibly strong it is. The fact that the Tripp Trapp can withstand 300 pounds doesn't just mean Dad can jump up and down on it, it means that the chair can easily take all the punishment that high-impact kids routinely dish out. Add the optional Stokke Baby Rail and use the Tripp Trapp for a 6 month old baby.

The best seat ever!
I purchased the stokke kinderzeat after having tried two booster seats, including the "cooshie booster" which I thought my toddler would love. He still had a hard time sitting still and getting comfy at the table. After much hesitation (due to cost) I purchased this seat and what a difference! My son loves the footrest and the safety strap (like his highchair). He plays at the table (coloring or blocks) sitting in his seat and he will sit through entire meals comfortably. It was also very easy to assemble. I would advise anyone to spend the extra money and purchase this seat.

Feeding Problems
My son has feeding problems. The therapist recommended the Stokke Tripp Trapp chair. He is doing 100% times better!!! It helps him sit straight up and concentrate on eating nothing else. Worth every cent.
Tripp Trapp Much Better Than A Booster Seat
I was really hesitant to purchase this chair because of the cost but realized that the booster seat we were using was ruining my $200 kitchen chair so I thought either way I would be out of the money. The thing I liked most about the Tripp Trapp is it positions my son at the proper height to see and effectively eat his food. He always seemed to be reaching up to his food when he was in a booster seat. Also we pull the Tripp Trapp chair over to the desk and he is properly postioned to used the computer, color, draw whatever. He will be four soon and I am expecting another child and I think I will most likely buy a second chair for the new baby when necessary.

Wonderful Stokke
We live in Norway, and these Stokke seats are very popular here. Both our girls have them, and we couldn't have had better seats for them. They are sturdy, safe, comfortable and ajustable to any size so it grows with the child into adulthood. Well worth the money!

Well worth the price!
I thought the price of this chair was crazy, but my 3 1/2 year old is only 33 inches tall and we were having a really rough time at the dinner table. The Tripp Trapp has solved the problem. Her legs don't dangle and her elbows can rest comfortably while she eats. She feeds herself happily and I am not running around getting pillows and adjusting booster seats. An added benefit is that the Tripp Trapp looks beautiful and since it holds up to 300 pounds, we can sit on it in a pinch!

Stokke is a GREAT CHAIR! Easy to clean
I thought about buying a Tripp Trapp chair for months, the price seemed a bit high. I'm so glad that I did. Our 3 1/2 yr old would fidgit and want to get down from the table before he was really done eating. Moments later our 19 mth old would want down too. Then 30 min later they were both hungry. With this chair he ASKS to sit at the table! I think we're going to buy a second Tripp Trapp chair for our 19 mth old.
WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!
I just recieved my Stokke seat the other day and my 2 year old loves it!! We are expecting another baby in 3 weeks and I wanted to get something my son could get in and out of on his own because I won't be able to lift him for a while .I also didn't want him to think his brother was taking his highchair. Well he didn't even notice as I took it to the basement! The Tripp Trapp chair is so nice and such high quality ! If you are thinking about getting one JUST DO IT!!

A Great Chair!
We bought the Stokke Tripp Trapp for many reasons. We were expecting company and only have three chairs for our kitchen table, one of which was being occupied by our daughter's booster seat. So we had to get another chair. We were also expecting another baby and thought we'd probably need the highchair/booster for her soon. Anyway, after looking at several options, we decided this chair would be perfect since it can hold an adult if we ever needed it to (and we have used it for that). My daughter loves her very special chair. She even pulls it over to the sink and stands on the footrest to wash her hands. She's able to get on and off of the chair by herself and feels very grown up sitting on it. Yes, it is rather expensive, but we'll be able to use it for the rest of our lives. No regrets, my son loves this chair!
Expensive, but worth every penny. My 16 month old son refused to eat in his high chair at 15 months. The following month was trial and error to find ways to get him to eat at the table. After trying a variety of less than satisfactory alternatives, including a booster seat, I finally decided to invest in the Stokke. Simple to assemble, and once my son saw it, I couldn't get him out of it. He eats, colors, plays, and climbs in and out of it throughout the day. (With supervision, of course.) Easy to clean, easy to adjust heights, and very sturdy. Looks great with my traditional dining room and antique dining table. The only down side is trying to convince your spouse that this chair is worth the cost.

Expensive, but worth it!
I purchased the Stokke chair after a great deal of deliberation, and after purchasing a "knock off" at $90. The competitor was painted, had a wooden restraint that was NOT going to work for my toddler, and the holes were drilled incorrectly, so it could not be assembled. I returned it to the store, and we tried to assemble another one there, to no avail - the store employee actually broke the seat while trying to get it together! I returned to thoughts of the Stokke, and decided to go for broke (so to speak...) When the Tripp Trapp seat arrived, I was delighted to see how easily it could be assembled and adjusted (you really need to assemble it first and have the child get into it to see where the footrest should go, and how deep the seat should be). The Tripp Trapp chair is remarkably comfortable, very attractive, slides easily on my hardwood floor without marring it, yet is incredibly stable. I have a VERY busy two year old, and the morning after we started using it he sat for over an hour doing crafts - unheard of previously in ANY chair. He feels so grown up to get in and out by himself. The Tripp Trapp is a terrific investment, and one that will fit under any table (unlike the high chairs that claim they can be a toddler chair.) The Stokke Tripp Trapp truly is worth the money...

The Tripp Trapp is worth the money!!!
My daughter decided she didn't like sitting in a high chair anymore - 16 months. She loves the Stokke Tripp Trapp /Kinderzeat. She can now crawl up into her seat herself (with supervision) and she loves it.

A smart investment
I bought the Stokke Tripp Trapp seat for my son after going through three different booster seats. He loves it, and it's the last seat we'll ever need to buy, because it grows along with your child. My only regret is I didn't get this when he was 18 months old. PS: If you're a small adult, you'll find the seat comfortable too--it's built to hold adult weight and is ergonomically sound.
Mom of one, one on the way
Never regretted buying it!
I first came across the Tripp Trapp chair at a baby fair while we lived in England (where my son was born). It has been a hit since day one...after my husband got over the cost and realized it was a lifetime investment. Since our daughter's birth we knew that our 3 1/2 year old son would have to move to a 'grownup' chair so that we could convert the Tripp Trapp back to the high chair, however, he is quite adament that she get her own chair! I only wish I could find a store in Canada that stocks Tripp Trapps!! He loves being able to get up and down on his own and that it is 'his' chair. I know these will be chairs to hold on to and eventually can be used for our grandchildren.

34 years old and still in use
My best friend still has her Stokke chair from when she was a baby and still uses it at her desk to prepare her lessons as a University lecturer. I bought one in a dark cherry finish for my daughter so that she can sit at the dining room table in style. It is more beautiful than any booster or high-chair and much more sturdy. I used the bar until she was 1&1/2 and now she climbs up and down on her own (she is two). The Stokke Tripp Trapp is not that expensive when you consider the cost of a high chair and a booster and the self-worth that comes of being able to eat at the same table as her Mum. Worth every penny!!!!

Don't think twice
I think this chair makes the children sit better and have their own special place at the table. In the Netherlands I meet a lot of people who buy a different / cheaper one at first, but do buy a Stokke Tripp Trapp after a while. This is a mistake; my toddler has one AND my 10 month old baby too (with some adjustments)... On top of these advantages I feel the Tripp Trapps don't disturb the looks and design of your own livingroom too much. They're not too huge and easy to move around and they go under the table.

Commonplace in Skandinavia
The Stokke chairs which are produced here in Norway have long since proven themselves. we recently broke down and got one for our 19 month old daughter who was constantly pushing back her high chair from the table and had nearly gone over backwards once. These chairs are common place in the day care facilites as they are adjustable to children of all sizes and are very safe for the smaller children.

My toddler loves the Tripp Trapp!
I think this is the best product I've purchased for my toddler. She did not like the expensive high chair that I bought for her. She wanted to sit in a regular chair. We got the Tripp Trapp when she was about 14 months old. She loves it. The adjustable foot rest is wonderful. It really does seem to increase her comfort and reduce squirming. It is also so much easier to wipe down than the complicated high chair. I, too, will purchase a second one when my next child is ready.

Stokke is a Great Product
I won one of these Tripp Trapps in an online contest a few months ago and it is wonderful. My daughter is 17 months and she likes it much better than her high chair because she can sit right at the table with us. She can even get on it by herself by climbing on the foot rest, although sometimes that's not a good thing. I would definately buy another Tripp Trapp if we have another child. It is kind of expensive, but when you consider how long they can use it for, it is well worth it.
